Macao House gets an upgrade!

So, I selected a few of Bahia Tiki’s most popular houses and have been upgrading them to reduce prims, increase texture quality and add some scripted features that we all love in SL.

Macao House just got its makeover and I really like the way it turned out!

Scripted to have your needs in mind, this house can be controlled by accessing a general panel that will allow you ( or your group) to set the right light ( intensity, color, on/off),window privacy, blinds and door security;

This house is only 59 prims, and 20X20 meters.In spite of being small, its textures were carefully made so as to add that extra 3d feel to the structure.

I created Belize House after having browsed through a coffee table book that had the most amazing Tropical Houses pictures.

A single piece of furniture ( that sofa in the picture that was originally orange) inspired me to build a house with dark exotic woods and carvings, but light and airy so that I could see either the ocean or the jungle vegetation from the rooms.

The living-room area is the heart of the house, so I had to choose my favorite colors with a touch of Asian sophistication.

Back in 2009, this was the house I wanted to have in Real Life. That was before Thai spiders and centipedes proved to me that they owned any house with windows out there.

Oasis of Peace: Tea Garden

Fox invited me over to his place to show me what he had made with many Bahia Tiki items he had gotten. As soon as I arrived I could see how creative he is, adapting Panama House to make it more open, in the spirit of sharing he so much appreciates, so that every guest could feel at home! His place has a huge garden with delicious niches full of detail, and places to sit, talk and enjoy the landscape he built. Loved the tour, Fox, and I hope this can give everyone inspiration and ideas, because after all, it’s a lot of fun to make our home in Second life, and we all deserve it!

Ocean House, from the World Houses Collection has been upgraded! New textures that now convey light and shadow effects give it depth and bright new wall colors make it cozy and comfortable!

I’m back from my travels and full of ideas to build Zen and Tropical items for Bahia Tiki I started working on this Zen Elements Collection that includes some Japanese / Asian inspired decor elements to your garden and patio; I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, it was fun to build!

So today we start with the Shozubachi Fountain:
Shozubachi is a fountain that offers a rock basin containing water to wash your hands in preparation for the Tea Ceremony.

I just couldn’t resist a little Summer welcoming dance in SL after I found this wonderful Mudanchee Outfit from Parabellum by the talented Ilyushin Tzedek. That girl knows how to work prims, no wonder I recommend her every time my customers need help with some changes in their houses; So if you call me to your place for help and I show up wearing a spear, fear not, it’s just to kill tropical mosquitos!
The savage look is perfect to roam the beaches of Bahia Tiki, enjoying the tropical water, sand & sun!
It Includes the anklets, the spear, bracelets, top and bottom, all prim work, all adjustable. Looks good! So detailed and flattering to an avatar’s body! Made her promise to make more tropical-like outfits for us Bahia Tiki crowd, so keep posted at Parabellum’s Blog ( Rss feed here ).

This is the set of textures I used back in 2006 when I first started building Tiki Huts in Second Life:)
Finding out that the windows in textures would save a lot of prims was exciting, and it was a major revolution for me as I was learning the low prim building techniques, prior to the Sculpty, all across Second Life's public sandboxes!
Fun times!

He added a Japanese styled screen on each side of the balcony and made use of the planters to plant lovely bamboos, making it look very tropical and zen;
